CHANGING THE STORY

Firelight Films productions have garnered multiple Primetime Emmys, Peabodys, and Sundance awards. Among them, the Academy Award®-nominated Attica, about the 1971 prison rebellion in upstate New York, for Showtime; Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre for the HISTORY Channel; Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy for Netflix; and Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution, and Freedom Riders, all for PBS. Recent Firelight Films productions include Becoming Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman: Visions of Freedom, now streaming via PBS, and Sound of the Police, for ABC News Studios, now streaming on Hulu. Forthcoming projects include Creating the New World, a four-part series for PBS.
